Climate change (public opinion): the most recent reading, from Gallup with a field-end date of 2026-03-18, shows 44% worry a great deal about the issue, 22% a fair amount, 12% only a little, and 23% not at all ^[1]. Combined, 66% express at least a fair amount of worry. A year earlier (Gallup, field-end 2025-03-16), the great-deal share stood at 40%, with 23% a fair amount, 13% only a little, and 24% not at all ^[1]. The 2026 great-deal figure of 44% is the highest in the series since the 46% recorded in March 2020 ^[1].
